Dinner: Last meal of the day but the important one

Hey Guys!!
It's been a long time since I blogged anything as I was busy with family functions and now I am again back on track :-)
So this blog is in continuation with my last blog where I explained about the importance of breakfast and healthy eating options. In case you missed out to read it, click on the link below. And guys believe me , it's a must read blog.

Now without wasting any time, let's dig into the importance of last meal of the day, why it is not advisable to skip and some healthy eating options for dinner. So keep reading.
I meet so many people  who says that we are in so much rush entire day because of job that we get family time only in dinner and that's the reason we eat content food in night with family. Guys you have to understand that family is important but health is also equally important and you have to choose it on priority. Dinner should be the lightest meal of the day as our metabolism system starts reducing gradually as the day sets and hence this meal should be as lightest as possible. And dinner plays a vital role in weight loss journey too.
I met few people who are trying to reduce weight  and when I asked them their dinner option they simply say "we don't eat dinner as we have to reduce our calories intake". You have to understand one thing that reducing weight is all about eating healthy and light food rather than skipping meals. Dinner is as important as breakfast  because there is a huge gap in evening mid meal and morning breakfast which makes your body starve for longer and as a result your body starts making acid and eventually entire body function becomes worsen. That's why we have to keep our body full for next eight hours while we are sleeping.

Below are some of the reasons why we should have light dinner:
1) Light dinner helps you in sound sleep.
2) Dinner should be sodium free as having salt after 6 PM leads to water retention, acidity and bloating.
3) Eat healthy and low carb dinner as it gets digested easily.
4) Replace your mid night hunger with a glass of milk.
5) Including light dinner in your diet chart leads to good amount of weight loss.

I hope I made you all understand about having dinner. Keep in mind, when you are trying to reduce or maintain weight, fasting or keeping your body hungry is not at all recommended. Instead you should have five small meals to avoid big hunger and heavy calorie intake.
Just like  breakfast, there is a specific time slot for dinner too. Try to have your dinner before 3-4 hours of your sleep as it gives sufficient time to your body to digest it and have a glass of milk one hour before your sleep to reduce your food craving in mid night. Remember if you are eating late then have only a bowl of papaya and if you have 3-4 hours beforehand of your sleep then  include any of the options which I am suggesting below.

Now here are some healthy dinner options which can be adapted to make a healthy lifestyle as well as reduce or maintain weight.
1) A bowl of fresh papaya
2) Sauteed veggies including green peas, onions, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, green beans, green red and yellow bell peppers and mushroom.
3) 100 gms raw or grilled paneer.
4) khichdi with 80% green lentil and 20% brown rice.
5) A bowl of raw salad including cucumber, onions, tomatoes, carrots.
6) A bowl of daal with one chapati/ a bowl of bottle gourd sabzi
7) Vegetable daliya with lots of green veggies.
8) A bowl of sprouts with veggies.
9) 2-3 boiled egg whites.
10) Milk Daliya/ Milk Oats with Jaggery.
