Chutney - Condiment and our tummy booster

No doubt sandwiches taste good but it's always the chutney which doubles the flavor with its presence :-) :-)

Isn't this topic mouthwatering by its name itself :-)

Welcome readers on my page. I have seen people loving Tomato Ketchup over chutneys. Are you also one of them?
Many people consider chutneys more as a flavor enhancement and are unaware about its health benefits. So let me shoot a question to all the readers out there. Do you all know that chutneys are not only flavor enhancements but are loaded with lots of health benefits too?

There are many types of chutneys that are made in different houses. Some of them are:

Dhaniya Pudina Chutney
Garlic Chutney
Tomato Chutney
onion Chutney
Coconut Chutney
Mango Chutney
Imli Chutney
Peanut chutney
Curry leaves chutney

Out of these, Dhaniya Pudina chutney is my all time favourite and it's always  ready in my fridge.  I prepared this over the weekend by blending everything together with some salt and few dashes of lemon. Most amazing part of this chutney is it gets ready in nick of time be it you're rushing for your office hours or its your gatecrashers dishes time.

I always prefer to have home made chutney as it's far more healthier than the store bought and has zero calories with no added preservatives.
I am personally a big time fan of Dhaniya pudina chutney because its more healthy and tasty.

Dhaniya: It lowers bad cholesterol, increases good cholesterol. Also aids to good digestion and better bowel movement.
Pudina:Helps in digestion, treat bad breath, reduce stress, gives relief from acidity.
Green Chillies: who don't know its health benefits :-) other than burning mouth it has zero calories and rich source of vitamin C and a great source of healthy and glowing skin.
Ginger:Gives ease from bloating, has antibacterial properties, reduce blood pressure and reduce inflammation.

Although, there are innumerable health benefits of these ingredients , I have highlighted some out of them.

Here is my yummilicious chutney ready :-)

So from next time, make this mouth watering healthy chutney your every meal companion, specially breakfast. And always prefer home made chutney over tomato ketchup as later one has nothing more than ample calories and added preservatives which gives adverse effect on our health.

Dhaniya Pudina chutney is mine favorite. Do let me know your favorite chutney in the comment section below.

Swachh Bharat : A tiny step of ours can make a big difference to the Nation

Hey Guys..I am back with another topic today. Its a bit lengthy topic as I had so much to write, still I tried to summarise my feelings. Hope you will enjoy reading it. I heard many times people saying India is not clean and not a good country to stay. So my question starts with you all.. How many of us are actually making an effort or contributing a small effort daily to make our country clean?  Let me tell you series of incidents which are still happening nearby us after so many promotions on Swachh Bharat.
Yesterday an incident happened.. I was travelling to my hometown from Noida and I saw a lady sitting on the front seat of car eating a packet of chips which she threw outside of the car window when empty as she considered it garbage and preferred to dump it on the road rather than in car to make her vehicle look clean. And there cat got my tongue ☹️
Now look at the below images

Aren’t we shameful after seeing these things still happening in our country? In our houses we are keeping a maid to keep our house clean on daily basis and what about the earth on which we are living. Are we doing justice with our country and our mother earth? What lesson are we giving to our new generation?? We have even been provided a facility of collecting trash from the doorstep itself still are we lazy enough to put the trash in the truck or these things don't matter to us? Even we have been made aware on the hazardous effects of polythenes, still we have placed a chapati wrapped in plastic for cow..My God
It brings discomfort to me when I see these things happening.
When I talk from awareness perspective even our PM ,our Leaders, Celebrities everyone is putting so hard efforts to spread awareness on this cleanliness. Even we are seeing so many hoardings everywhere for cleanliness. Are we too busy that we are neglecting them or it does not matter to us anymore?

Look at the below images of all the great initiatives and hard efforts putting from govt

Because of these many awareness on Swachh India at least people are now aware up to some extent on cleanliness. Now small efforts are required from us too to help our country move forward. Even services are given to us,we just have to make them in use properly.

Public toilets are made on roads which is a great initiative to curb diseases and ease people. Moreover when toilets were given to people living in rural areas, they were on cloud nine.

From amenities perspective, our country has been developing day by day and providing the best resources for utilization. Now our responsibility is to make the resources/ services utilization in best possible way.

I was passing by and got impressed by this coconut hawker who preferred to keep a net bag to collect the waste. I salute him for not choosing a road to spread garbage.

Had we even seen this kind of awareness a decade back? I feel happiness seeing people taking this small initiatives as it shows we love our country and want our nation to be clean and a happy place for living.

Now other instance which is quite common,I am also a victim of this many times and many of you must have been went through this.Chewing gum under shoes. Isn’t it irritating? Not only it makes problem for passers but its actually hazardous for our pets and birds too. I was reading an article during web surfing and got to know these chewing gums which if by chance swallowed by birds can even led to their death. Why can’t we take precautions for these things.
I believe if we take care on the tiny things, it will help us to make our country as well as our mother India clean.

Few are the basic things which we should always have  in mind:

1) No trash should be thrown on the road. We should throw it only in bins and in-case bins are not available around us then we can keep it in our bags till the time we see any bin
2) Chewing gums should be thrown in dustbin only as it can be dangerous for animals or birds too
3) While using washrooms either in office or at home, we should flush it properly so that it is ready to be used by next person without any inconvenience.
4) Before leaving the table where we eat, make sure we leave the table clean, to be in use by next person.

Can i request you all to please make sure not litter here and there and make every possible small efforts to keep our nearby areas clean and if you see any passer doing any such act just stop him there itself. By these small steps, we will keep our surroundings clean and if surroundings are cleaned gradually, India will be a clean country eventually and thats should be everyone's dream :-)

A tiny step of ours can definitely make a big difference to the nation!!

My contribution in Swachh Bharat:

This is my small initiative towards cleanliness by keeping a tissue paper in my tiffin box so that I leave my table clean and don't expect some one else to clean it.

Just brainstorm a little and do comment me in inbox about your tiny initiative for clean India

Water bottle: our all-time companion

A warm welcome to my lovely readers and followers. Today’s topic is very basic but lot of hidden benefits. Keep scrolling down!!

You must have heard from many people to have 3-4 liters or 8-10 glasses of water intake every day. Let’s deep dive into this as I have seen many people neglecting water intake and not considering it as a vital part of our daily routine. Look at the image, isn’t this amazing? Just gaze it out for a minute. Hope you can make out the difference.

Reason behind the saying of this much water intake is: as our body is composed of 70% of water therefore, water intake helps to flush out the extra toxins from our body, build our immune system and make our body clean and healthy.

I heard many people asking a question “how can we drink these many liters in a day when we don’t even feel thirsty throughout the day? Especially when its monsoon or winters. And I completely agree with you. But we have to find out a way for this. Best is, try having water sip by sip. If you can’t have that too then try having flavored water which is also called detox water which has a combination of water with some fresh fruits or lemons dipped for flavor and better taste .( Detox water recipes will be sharing in my next blog)This way you will have more water and you won’t feel burdened to intake it.

I had even seen many people discussing, if we take much water then we have to go for frequent urination and out of that fear they afraid to take water. Guys let me tell you,  it’s just about adapting new lifestyle. Initially when you have more water, you will go for frequent urination and you will be on and off to washroom as it flush out waste from the body, which is completely okay as by this way you will shred some kilos too J. Later, your body will be accommodated with this style. Remember, your health should always be on utmost priority, no matter what. Keep reminding yourself for water intake and if your routine is highly packed and you tend to forget, then put a reminder or download a water app in your mobile and then it becomes your mobile duty to remind yourself for a sip of water in every 5-10 minutes J J
When I will list down the benefits of water intake, I am sure you will be in love with drinking water

It helps to lose weight drastically and our body stay hydrated.
Sufficient water intake prevents from binge or junk eating.
It gives clear and glowing skin and reverse aging process.
It helps improve the bowel movement and leads to good digestion
It cleans kidney from all the impurities and make body disease free & healthy.
It gives big relief from menstrual crams.
So guys did you understand how much it is important to have water and how we were doing injustice by ignoring it? I am sure you won’t repeat this mistake going further as I tried to cover almost all of the excuses which people tend to make J
Just make your water bottle your bestie and carry it everywhere you go.
Also, from next time onwards always prefer water over any kind of drinks as it has zero calories with innumerable benefits.

Now rush to your nearest shop to buy your favorite water bottle and make it your companion everywhere from tomorrow onwards J

Importance of Detox diet in our life

Hello lovely people,

In continuation to my last topic on health and body, I am back with another interesting topic on health. As the caption says.. its all about the role of detoxification of our body Believe me guys detox diet plays a vital role for our body. Its not only related to people who are trying to loose or maintain weight but its important for every human being as it gives you a healthy life style along with a beautiful body and charming face.

First of all let me tell you what is detox. This must be the first question running in almost everyone’s mind and not many are aware about its importance and role too. So the word detox means detoxifying or cleansing your body with more and more liquid intake and very low or Zero sodium/salt intake.

In our ancient times, people used to keep fasting for a day and that was more from religious perspective but actually speaking, scientifically it has a valid reason too. We should actually make an effort to cleanse out our body once in a week from all the accumulated food/ toxins from our intestine and it clean and healthy. So I hope I am able to clear out the basic question from your mind.

Now next million dollar question is: how to do detoxification and when to do? Hmm..Its a very simple process and not painful as many people have perception about it.
Detox diet mainly comes up when we have had lot of junk or outside food either because of our junk cravings or because of family function or some celebration time and i would say we should live the life happily and enjoy the moments. Life has its own ups and downs and we cant strict to the rule all the time that we will not have any junk or outside food. Just enjoy the celebrations when it comes and later work on it for more betterment  :-) :-)

So after doing a cheat meal or cheat days with all your favorite food, time comes for detoxification. So what you have to do is:go for a low calorie and healthy diet which includes lots of fruits, juices and healthy stuffs.
Try making your day salt free and have ample amount of  fresh fruits ,juices, coconut water ,lemon water, smoothie or shakes. I know having a salt free day can be painful as I also suffer low BP problem without salt for full day. Its substitution is Rock salt. Just sprinkle it on your bowl of fruits or add a dash of it in your lemon water.
Some of the points which we can keep in mind while doing detoxification is:
  1. Keep yourself hydrated with lot of water intake. Have at least 3-4 liters of water.
  2. Try having freshly cut fruits in your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Best is to have more and more citrus fruits at this time.
  3. Have smoothies, shakes, coconut water or lemon water every time you feel like eating something.
  4. Choose to have your day routine very light as you are consuming very less calories in a day.
  5. Most important point is stay motivated and have a cheerful face without thinking anything bad about this detox day.

And believe me guys this process not only helps us in shredding few kilos but also helps us in staying fit and healthy. You will see different glow on your face once you get accommodated in this style of living. Try it and let me know your results.

We should keep doing tiny things for our body as its gonna stay with us for lifetime.
Every time money cant buy you happiness...but good health will surely always

Sugar free Life: When I can do then you can also

While entering into the lift of my society, I heard a kid saying to her Mom “Hey Mom. It’s a sugar free week for me in school so don’t get me any chocolates, cookies or donuts”. And guess what a blogger standing next to you needs, only a catchy word to pen down on it. And here I am with my next interesting blog.

Welcome readers. My this blog is all about my sugar free life, which I have been living for more than half a decade now and I am just loving it. My aversion to sugar started when I heard my Mom’s diabetic news for the first time. And everyone is aware that it’s a genetic disease and I took my first step to curb sugar from my life at least to start with a  week initially. I pledged not to have sugar in anything at any cost, and guess what...Like others I used to wink at myself and grab a chocolate of Dairy Milk Silk (which is my most favorite chocolate ever) every time with an attitude that nobody is looking at me J J. And this was my all time attitude which never got changed till the time I got admitted in hospital and diagnosed with kidney stones. Now I got an advice from Doctor to be cautious and keep an eye on your weight too.
There after I am not even left with an eye winking option for myself :-(
Hence I pledged again for no sugar as I had to take care of my weight too. And this time it was a sincere pledge, believe me😄

Since then, I stopped cheating on myself and continued living my life without sugar. Initially it was toughest time for mine as I being a tea addict and having a cup of tea without sugar was like travelling in Delhi's traffic without music haha..But I was left with no other choice. Then I started looking for substitutes of sugar to add up into my tea.
At that time, someone introduced me with Stevia sugar free. Here I will go by Sanjeev Kapoor’s tagline on sugar free “Chini jesi mithas or chini bilkul bhi nhi J” which is absolutely correct as Stevia does not contain processed sugar so it’s a healthy option to make in use.

As we are seeing people becoming more health conscious these days, I would suggest everyone to go with Stevia or Jaggery which are tasty yet healthy options to have. And for adapting them, you just have to build up your taste.
Let me tell you,  when I can made these Oats laddoos and Foxnuts (Makhaana) laddoos without sugar and adding  Jaggery instead, then you can also make any dish of your choice with them. And they were heavenly yum :-)

Makhaana Laddo

Oats Laddoo
Well I feel like making them again after seeing the image. Isn’t it mouthwatering for you all too?

Not only laddoos, whenever you feel like craving for sugar go for a bowl of fresh fruits, smoothies, shakes, a piece of jaggery or Mishri. Even our cakes and ice-cream can be made at home without sugar. Soon will share mango ice-cream recipe on my blog page.
My point is if we can enjoy the same sweetness with other healthy substitutes of sugar, then why to go for Cheeni. After all we should do justice with our body and should love it immensely as it’s gonna stay with us lifelong.
It’s my humble request to you all, please stop taking direct sugar as this has nothing except ample amount of calories. Infact go for Stevia, Jaggery, Jaggery powder, Khand, Brown sugar, honey anything of your choice.

Cheeni rishton me ghule to achi lagti hai lekin khane me ghule to Zehar bana deti hai”.

Manager’s importance in one’s life

Well. You all must be thinking after looking at the below image and reading the top caption that what this picture is all about. Well keep reading below for detailed story

So .today’s caption sounds interesting isn’t it??  It  must be giving Goosebumps specially to managers who are reading my posts  and they must be curious to know what this blog is all about :-)
for this  you guys will  have to scroll down below :-)..

Well I have been working in one of the renowned IT companies in Noida and this is my fourth company. During my carrier, I have been interacted with so many managers. Every person has his/her own aura.

Let me tell you my recent story. I have taken up a new project in this company lately and here also i have a reporting manager.

Well, what do you expect from a good manager? Let’s give it a thought....
From my perspective, answer is:
1) He should understand you
2) He should scold you if you are doing something wrong and simultaneously praise you when you have an intent on doing or achieving something better.
3) He should have an emotional connect with you other than professional so that if you are in your bad times, you can share things with him and you both can make a good connect.
4) He should trust you (most significant point).

Now this topic is debatable. I know, but I want to say, I am blessed with a very good manger this time. He is very much supportive and pushes me to move ahead and achieve new heights. and with his this nature I am motivated  to write a blog on managers.
Very few people are like this. He is my manager and my mentor too.

I am not saying that I am praising or devitalizing anyone but at least we can inculcate some good things from others which can help us to become a good person personally and professionally both. Every person is good in one or the other way and everyone is incomparable. I always thanks universe for blessing me with such good people in my life.

I have shared my perspective, you can share yours too or if someone of you has a different opinion i am ready to hear them out too

Now just take a deep breath and introspect for a moment that how many of us actually understand our team. I may not he having an exposure to this role but as a person i have an exposure more than my own age and above topic is written by my own understanding.

I hope know now the image above is self-explanatory to all ..its a happy manager and team engagement pic :-) And this bonding  is most important as we spend more of our time in office than at home ..so our working area should be full of happiness & positive vibes.

Disclaimer: This Story is based on my personal experience and not to dishearten anyone.
Keep sharing your views and stay tuned for more blogs.

Thank you!!

Happy blogging :-)
